Truckee River - fun times in the summer!

Want to relax by a beautiful alpine lake? Check out the 37 public piers on the north shore of Donner Lake, free and open to the public on a first come first serve basis. They’re a great spot for a picnic, launching a paddleboard, swimming, or simply soaking up the sun. The piers are very popular in the summer so go early or visit midweek or off-peak times

5-min drive, at bottom of hill (Northwoods and Donner Pass Rd). Full service gym and best indoor climbing walls in town. Also full service gym (with yoga, HIIT, and cycling classes).

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC PARK

Open to the Public. Gates Open 8am-8pm. Located on the West Shore of Donner Lake, a 12-acre day-use beach with American Red Cross Certified Lifeguards supervising the designated swim area during the summer months. Kayak, SUP and paddleboard rentals, horseshoe pits, play areas, boat storage, picnic & BBQ areas, beach volleyball, tennis courts, and concessions. Opens May 29.

KICK THE DAILY GRIND AT THE TRUCKEE SKATE PARK 

One of our busiest facilities, the skatepark, is offered free to residents and visitors! It's located in Regional Park next to Brockway Rd, near the large ballfield. The skatepark can be rented out for private parties or competitions. 

The Truckee Bike Park is located in beautiful Truckee, CA. The Park has the sweetest flow lines and the smoothest strider/pump track for all skill levels to progress. Along with beginner to advanced jump lines. The Park has something fun for everyone.​

Open to the public from sunrise to sunset (weather permitting), seven days a week during the summer months. Upon arriving at the park please take the time to read and respect the rules.

KidZone Museum is the only children’s museum serving North Lake Tahoe and Truckee, with more than 30,000 visits annually. The creative play spaces, including an outdoor nature play-space, are optimal for children under 7 years of age. Camps and school programs are designed for children through elementary school. Teenagers gain important service learning experience through volunteering opportunities at the museum.  It is a non-profit chidren's museum dedicated to enhancing the lives of children through exploration and learning.
